Healthy New Year?
Something I think we all do is worry about how healthy we are. It’s a natural thing to worry about. I’ve personally been all over the map when it comes to health. I’m a bit overweight (ok more than a bit) and this year I’m going to try to do something about it. I also have type 2 diabetes so it’s going to make things challenging. I will be starting a program through my health insurance starting Monday, well actually I’m already starting by documenting the food I eat. It’s eye opening and can become a bit cumbersome. I feel like I need to record my food before I eat it so I don’t forget what I ate. In some cases I need to weigh out the food so I can record it correctly. That can be a PITA (not the kind you eat). I’m learning I eat mostly fat and carbs, who doesn’t? I’m trying to eat more protein and less carbs especially due to my diabetes but also because carbs and fat aren’t good for us in geneural (your mileage may vary depending on your own situation) but it’s not easy because carbs and fat are so yummy! Why did God make yumy foods so bad for you!? Anyhow I will keep you updated as things progress. I’m also walking on the treadmill regularly as exercise is another one of those healthy things I don’t do enough of. Wish me luck! I wish you luck too! Here’s to a Happy and Healthy New Year!
